Mix 20 drops of tea tree oil with 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap. Add this mixture to a spray bottle and shake well. This all-purpose cleaning blendis especially good for keeping showers clean.

3) Rosemary oil has a fresh and herbaceous aroma. Add this antibacterial oil to laundry detergent, toilet bowl cleaners, and dish soap to add a pleasant aroma to anything that needs cleaning

4) Orange oil, like lemon oil, has a fresh citrus aroma. Orange oil is effective in removing greasefrom surfaces. Add a few drops of orange oil to water and dish soap and use the mixture to clean dishes, pans, stovetops, and countertops.

5) Lavender oil is one of the most popular essential oils, because of its fresh and floral scent and because it’s known to be calming and to aid in sleep. Add 4-5 drops of lavender oil to 2 cups of distilled water. Put this mixture into a spray bottle and shake well. Spray onto pillows and linens as a natural homemade air freshener. Lavender oil can also be added to white vinegar and used to clean surfaces around the home.

6) Eucalyptus oil is perfect for deodorizing clothes, linens, and even stuffed animals. Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with a drop of eucalyptus radiata oil, lavender oil, and tea tree oil. Add this mixture to a Ziploc bag and toss in stuffed animals. Shake the bag and then place it into the freezer and leave for 30 minutes. This process will not only leave the stuffed animals spelling fresh, but it will also kill any dust mites that might have found their way onto the toy. For fresh clothes add a few drops of eucalyptus radiata to the washing machine when doing laundry. Create a linen spray with 3-5 drops eucalyptus radiata and 2 cups of distilled water. Shake well and spray onto linens and pillows.

7) Peppermint oil is known to repel bugs and spiders, all while smelling rich and minty. Add 10-15 drops of peppermint oil to 2 cups of distilled water. Add this mixture to a spray bottle and shake well. Shake well and spray around windows, doors, or anywhere insects are present.
