Behale sources its Lemongrass oil from South Africa, Malawi, and India.
Citral is a major component in Lemongrass oil. Behale Organic Lemongrass oil is rich in citral (over 70%). Citral lends its mosquito repellant properties to Lemongrass oil, so Behale Organic Lemongrass oil is effective in repellant blends. Dilute Lemongrass oil with a carrier oil such as Baobab oil or Manketti oil before topical use.
Lemongrass oil can irritate the skin if it's used in high concentrations. Behale recommends a maximum concentration of around 0.7%-0.8%. Pregnant women and children should use this oil even more sparingly.
To enjoy the benefits of Behale Lemongrass oil without worrying about dilution, add this oil to a diffuser. Aside from repelling mosquitos, Lemongrass oil vapor is also antifungal.
Like other citrus-scented oils, Lemongrass oil works well as an all-purpose cleaner. Add 3-4 drops of Behale Organic Lemongrass oil to dishes, laundry, or store-bought all-purpose cleaners to add a fresh and clean smell.
Do you want to make your own DIY all-purpose cleaner? Mix 2 cups of distilled water, 2 tbsp of white vinegar, and 10 drops of Behale Organics Lemongrass Oil. Pour this mixture into a spray bottle and shake well. This DIY mixture will clean your home and smell great while doing it.
Lemongrass oil has a lemony scent. Behale Organic Lemongrass oil blends well with Clary Sage oil, Cypress oil, Lavender oil, and Lemon oil. Lemongrass oil's high concentration of citral makes it very powerful and dominating in blends, so use it sparingly when blending.
