Behale Organic Baobab Oil Information and Uses

By Ian Lutge

Baobab oil, also known as Adansonia digitata oil, is a carrier oil. This oil is cold pressed from the nuts of Baobab trees.

Behale sources its Boabab oil from naturally grown trees in South Africa, Malawi, and Zambia.

Baobab oil has high amounts of natural Linoleic acid, C18:2, also known as Omega 6. Omega 6 is an ‘essential fatty acid’ because while our bodies need these fatty acids, they do not produce them. Omega 6 is essential to a healthy life. People typically get Omega 6 from foods like flaxseeds and sunflower seeds but applying Baobab oil to the skin is another way to get Omega 6 into the body. To receive the benefits of Baobab oil try using it as a daily moisturizer or adding it to a bath.

Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) absorbs quickly, improves elasticity, and does not clog the pores. Baobab oil is an excellent ingredient in formulations for Eczema & psoriasis.

Baobab oil has a slightly nutty scent. Floral notes cannot mask Baobab oil scent, so it is best to find complimentary notes that work with the scent of Baobab oil rather than trying to hide the nutty scent.
